Sesame Place
So we had a WONDERFUL trip. It was even better than I imagined!!! We just went to Idlewild as a practice run, but I had a lot higher expectations for Sesame Place and fortunately they outdid my expectations!! The park was wonderful, clean, bright, and oh so Sesame!! I think Daddy and I had as much fun as Haleigh Rose!!! She was SOOOO excited with each character she got to see and just wanted to hug them all!! She didn't want to stand still by herself for a picture, but she did love shaking their hands. Unfortunately the one thing she talked about for weeks before we went was giving Elmo a hug and kiss, but that didn't happen. They have the Elmo show running like all day long so he wasn't ever out for picture moments like some of the others, but we did get to go and see Elmo's World Live which she LOVED and we got to see the parade 3 times so on the second last time we got up there early and got a spot in the front so she got to have a lot of the characters come by and shake her hand and each time she would jump up and down like crazy and squeal!! TO make up for not kissing Elmo, we now have a "Haleigh-sized" Elmo living with us, along with the rest of the Sesame store. Yes, she is spoiled, we totally overdid it, but who knows when we will have that chance again and she is so excited about each thing!!!! She even did a couple of big water slides with Daddy and had a BLAST!! She did fall asleep in his arms during the second one which had a line that was RIDICULOUS!! I think it was 1 hour and 15 minutes. His back and arms were a little sore after that one. I guess that was the only bad part. Because we had to do it over a weekend in order to maximize our vacation days and because it happened to fall on the absolute BEST weekend we have had all summer so it was busy. We were there all day and still didn't have time to do everything we wanted to, even with getting in a few hours on Friday evening too!! Haleigh was quite to trooper though. For a kid whose thrives on schedule, EVERYTHING was off schedule. We didn't even eat dinner Friday until like 8:30 or so!! She was great though!! No more "moments" than should be expected under the circumstances! We were so proud of her and it brought us such joy to share it with her!! Now I can't wait to see what we can come up with next year!! I would go back again for sure, but we will see, we will need to mix it up!! She thought staying at the hotel was really cool too (her first time since she was an infant!). Although she was very happy to come home!!! She did a great job in the car, took about 5.5 hours each way so she had to prove her patience (and potty trained skills!!)!!!
Enjoy a few snipits of video and some pictures! there are 4 videos so keep scrolling down!
