Big Girl Room

So the time has come for my baby to get into a big girl room. We have 3 bedrooms in our house, but the one that her nursery is in is the smallest room, so not only did Haleigh move into a big girl bed, but she moved into a new bedroom as well. We talked about it for a couple of weeks leading up to it and she even slept in the bed when her cousin Lexi came up for a sleep over a few weeks ago. She used to call this room "Aunt Jessie's room" as it was our guest room and Aunt Jessie is our most frequent guest, but as time got closer she started calling it "Haleigh Rose Straub's new room". Yes, she is formal and likes to say her full name often and very fast! Tonight will be her first night sleeping in it as the last pieces of the bedding just came today and we wanted to wait until the weekend anyway as we anticipate many ups and downs once she figures out she can!
Special thanks to Aunt Jessie and Uncle Graig for all their efforts in getting the dresser for us since their IKEA was the only one who carried it, and for helping us get everything put together and moved in and out. I am not sure yet which one of us is more excited about this room, Haleigh Rose or Mommy!!!
We are home sick today, both with nasty colds, so we will see how this goes.
Hope this finds you all well! God Bless!

What a beautiful room. We will be transforming Canaan's room into a big boy room in the coming months to make way for baby. We have 3 bdrs as well, but one is in the basement. Not sure where to put baby yet.

I love that you put Haleigh in a big bed. Im convinced toddlers feel more protected when their beds have lots of space.

Hugs and Kisses. See you soon
